It’s time for a new edition of 10 with the Team! Meet Lachlan Amos, an Associate at Triangulate Knowledge. Hardworking and dedicated, we’re excited to see the world from Lachy’s perspective.
Q1 What’s one skill you’ve developed the most since joining TK?
My ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds. I've become much better at building rapport, asking the right questions, and understanding the timelines and goals of different clients.
Q2 What’s something you’ve learned about expert networks since working at TK?
I've learned that the best experts can add a huge amount of value when they're matched to the right questions.
Q3 What’s a common misconception about expert networks you’d love to clear up?
That the best experts are always the most senior people. Some of the most valuable conversations come from people who are closer to the day-to-day operations.
Q4 What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
Own your growth.
Q5 How do you stay organised during a busy project week?
I use an app my colleague Harold recommended called Todoist. It emails me reminders which can be a real lifesaver.
Q6 Who’s one person you’d invite to dinner, dead or alive?
Tiger Woods - preferably during his prime golfing years.
Q7 What’s a fun fact about yourself that others might not know?
I've lived in seven different cities since COVID.
Q8. What’s your favourite part of working at an expert network?
The autonomy. You get to run your own projects, speak with interesting people, and naturally stay on top of what's happening across different industries.
Q9. What’s one thing you’re currently learning or trying to improve?
I'm working on being more methodical by slowing down, communicating clearly, and being more deliberate in how I work.
Q10. What’s one part of the job that keeps you on your toes?
That there's always another project to deliver and another expert to find.
