With over two decades of experience shaping how organisations understand, measure, and respond to climate‑related risk, Nick is a leading expert in translating climate science into financial, strategic, and regulatory insights. His work sits at the intersection of climate modelling, financial risk, governance, and disclosure.
As Director and founder of Climate Policy Research, Nick works directly with regulators, governance bodies, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver climate risk assessments, net‑zero strategies, and emissions reporting and assurance for major organisations across banking, retail, agriculture, aquaculture, utilities, resources, telecommunications, and national transport infrastructure.

Dan Madrigal

Cloud Infrastructure, AI Sourcing & Global Data Center Strategy Executive

Dan is a senior technology and infrastructure leader with more than 15 years of experience shaping how the world’s largest cloud and AI platforms scale, source energy, and deploy global capacity. His career spans Fortune 500 environments across cloud infrastructure, real estate development, private equity, biosciences, and investment banking, where he has led high‑impact teams, executed complex transactions, and delivered multi‑billion‑dollar strategic outcomes.
Most recently, Dan served as Vice President of Cloud AI Sourcing and Energy Strategy at Oracle, where he oversaw global cloud infrastructure expansion, energy procurement, and AI‑driven capacity planning. Prior to Oracle, he led Microsoft’s Cloud Infrastructure M&A, acquiring and integrating data‑center ecosystem assets critical to Azure’s global footprint. Earlier roles include serving as Meta's Head of Data Centre Real Estate Acquisitions and Strategy, as well as Chief Real Estate and Development Officer at Equinix, Devonshire Investors, and Amgen. A graduate of both the University of Oxford and the University of Chicago, Dan has authored several publications and remains active in academia, delivering lectures at Oxford and industry keynote addresses.
His expertise spans strategy development, deal sourcing and execution, due diligence, asset acquisition, portfolio optimisation, and leadership development.Dan’s market experience covers the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific , giving him a uniquely global perspective on cloud infrastructure, energy strategy, and hyperscale expansion.
